Over 80 people gathered at this year�s highly successful Clearer Future Conference, hosted in Doncaster.
The event was opened by Doncaster's Mayor, who provided an unconventional perspective on air quality management. Broadcaster and meteorologist Clare Nasir introduced the issue of air quality in 2012, and was followed by ClientEarth's Karla Hill who presented a keynote speech on their landmark case against the UK government's failure to meet standards.

ITV News� Clare Nasir will open the Clearer Future Conference on 30th May at Doncaster�s historic Mansion House.
The national conference will bring together public and private sector workers who specialise in air quality management to hear a range of talks from speakers, including Robert Vaughan from DEFRA, Jo Barnes from the Air Quality Management Resource Centre, and keynote speaker Karla Hill from Client Earth.

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (Barnsley MBC) are leading the way towards improving air quality by joining the ECO Stars Fleet Recognition Scheme as a three star operator. The scheme, which is the first of its kind in the UK, recognises fleet operators who are using cleaner vehicles and effective fuel management. ECO Stars has been set up by Care4Air as part of the drive to improve the quality of air across the county.
