Care4Air and Doncaster Council are working together to educate primary school children about the importance of air quality.

Sheffield joined nearly 1000 other cities, including Madrid, Berlin, Zurich and Stockholm, to celebrate ‘In Town Without My Car Day’ on Friday 22nd September; a Europe-wide campaign that encourages people to use more sustainable forms of transport such as walking, cycling and public transport.

Cabinet members at Sheffield City Council will be asked to approve the expansion of the City's Air Quality Management Area next Wednesday (13th September). The plans aim to improve air quality within the city by expanding the existing area where pollution levels are monitored, recorded and managed.

Sheffield celebrated its ‘green’ status for a whole week in September, as air quality awareness campaign Care4Air launched a series of events in the city to highlight simple ways people can help to improve local air quality.
