A Clearer Future Conference 2007 took place on Thursday 20th September at the Royal Victoria Holiday Inn Sheffield, and was deemed a success for the third year running.

We would like to thank our sponsor CENEX; Enviro Technologies, Westlake Scientific Consulting, Transport and Travel Research and Sheffield Climate Action Group for exhibiting; and the speakers and delegates who joined us for the event.

A broad and varied programme was delivered by 11 speakers over the course of the day to a national audience of around 80 attendees. Delegates were presented with speakers from a range of organisations including DEFRA, Arup, and the Government Office of Yorkshire and The Humber, and topics such as low emissions planning, communicating climate change to the public and Freight Quality Partnerships were covered.

Sustainability
The event strived to be as sustainable as possible, and with recycling points readily available, no printouts of slides provided, and delegates asked to bring their own notepaper and pens, waste was reduced and where possible, recycled.
